Nazreen read law at Multimedia University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons). Subsequently, he completed his pupillage at the Chambers of Messrs. K.F. Low & Co. under the guidance and supervision of Dato’ Low Kam Fai and was admitted to the High Court of Malaya in 2017. He began his career as a civil practising lawyer but later developed a profound interest in criminal litigation work, eventually choosing to specialise in criminal law.

Seeking to expand his area of practice to East Malaysia, he chambered at the Chambers of Messrs. Amin Jaafar & Co, a reputable firm in Tawau, Sabah, under the guidance and supervision of the sole proprietor, Mohd Amin Bin Jaafar, and was admitted to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in 2022. During his short stint here, he worked closely with Mark Rosaidey Bin Mohd Amin and assisted in several prominent and complex criminal cases such as the biggest bust involving planting of cannabis trees. In 2023, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M) at City, University of London.

Throughout his years in practice, he has been engaged in several high-profile criminal cases. To name a few, he was a part of the legal team involved in the former prime minister Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Hj Abd Razak's SRC case, representing Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. He has also represented a client who was a bank officer of a well-known bank facing bribery charges for approving personal loans totalling RM18 million, which garnered media coverage.

Additionally, he has provided legal advice for one of the nation’s leading property development companies when one of its directors was charged with forgery. More recently, he has frequently appeared in the Court for Children, representing child or juvenile offenders involving statutory rape cases.

His current practise specialises in criminal litigation as well as advisory work. He has represented both individuals and corporate clients at all levels of the courts in different types of criminal cases ranging from general offences under the Penal Code; drug-related offences; sexual offences; to white-collar crimes. Presently he is focused on general crimes, drug-related offences, and sexual offences.

The trial involved former Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Hj Abd Razak, who was facing charges of abuse of power, criminal breach of trust, and money laundering totalling RM42 million.

Acted for a client who faced charges of accepting bribe money.

The biggest bust involving planting of illegal plants in Malaysia at that time. The accused was initially convicted by the Trial Court (sentenced to life imprisonment and six strokes) and was later acquitted on appeal by the High Court.
